Cybersecurity Business Analyst

Russ Hadick & Associates, named by Forbes as one of the top 100 recruiting firms in the nation, has joined forces with a Columbus client to fill their Business Systems Analyst III position. The ideal candidate has a blend of a PC/BSA with a cybersecurity projects background, and will have the role of analyzing, reviewing, and documenting project parameters to ensure the project is completed within the scope, schedule, and budget. They will support the Project Manager and Project Sponsor in developing and documenting project requirements models, cost models, project risk models, performing project evaluations and variance assessment, and assisting with project communications and reporting.

 

Principal Accountabilities: 
-Develops requirements models, including technical requirements and financial models supporting these requirements. 
-Performs project risk analysis, documents risk indicators (KRIs), and assists Project Manager with development of project risk reports. 
-Assists Project Manager by routinely performing project component analysis, budget variance analysis, and other key project control functions. 
-Understands and can work within multiple project lifecycle frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile. 
-Develops effective communication products, including executive-level reports and presentations with attention to detail in wording, format, and appropriate graphical representation of decision-supporting data. 
-Possesses an understanding of FERC regulations regarding Capital projects. 
-Exhibits an understanding of risk management concepts, including mitigation planning and remediation actions. 
-Demonstrates awareness of key cyber security trends. Considers alternative courses of action and selects best options according to intended security posture. 
-Grasps new security concepts quickly; able to convey these in simple terms, using relevant and meaningful language within the group or during presentations to non-technical resources. 
-Applies work experience and job knowledge to maximize time efficiency and quality of deliverables while consistently achieving policy management milestones. 
-Identifies, clarifies, resolves, and initiates solutions to problems that involve analysis of inadequate or conflicting data. Keeps cyber security as the focal point during all activity. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of IT experience. 

Experience: 
-Typically 8 or more years in BSA or PC field 
-At least 2 years of experience working on Cybersecurity projects 

Requirements - Preferred 
-Relevant Project Management certification desired. 
-High energy self-starter who works independently and readily accepts new challenges 
-Demonstrates strong ability to communicate effectively with staff, senior security management, and executives in both verbal, written, and graphical media. 
-Demonstrates ability to develop reports for executive decision. 
-Strong collaboration skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams 
-Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate ideas succinctly and effectively to non-technical staff as well as senior leadership 
-Builds strong working partnerships in the business units and IT 
-Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex assignments 
-Demonstrated record of taking ownership of challenges, proposing sound solutions, and accepting responsibility and accountability for results 
-Performs other duties as assigned
